The COM310A was retired on October 22, 2008; replacement parts remain available (see Ordering Info). This modem was intended for the public switched telephone network used in Australia. It allowed anyone to call a data logger via phone and receive a verbal report of real-time site conditions. The data logger could be programmed to report specific conditions or to allow a caller to select specific information by pressing numbers on a touch-tone phone. The COM310A also supported data transfer rates of 9600 and 1200 baud between the data logger and PC.
