The SAT HDR GOES complied with the High Data Rate (HDR) specifications. This transmitter was NESDIS certified for low and high data rates—including 100, 300, and 1200 bps. The SAT HDR GOES supported transmission lengths from 1 to 120 seconds. Short transmission lengths enabled multiple stations to use the same NESDIS-assigned window. The transmitter had an internal GPS receiver that acquired time and the PPS signal.
