In December 2008, the SP65 was retired. The SP65 typically recharged the user-supplied 12-V flooded battery used in systems with large power requirements such as the CO2 Bowen Ratio and CO2 Eddy Covariance Systems. The SP65 provided 65 W typical peak power, 60 W guaranteed minimum peak power, 3.69 A current at peak, and 17.6 V voltage at peak. Two SP65 solar panels could be attached to the same regulator to provide 130 Watts of power.
